Getting started

What does “Cross-platform publishing” actually do?

You upload your model once on ShopCart — title, description, images, files, price. Then you click “Push to Cults3D”, “Push to MyMiniFactory”, etc., and we use each platform's API to create the listing under your connected account. Edit later? One save updates every connected platform. No copy-paste, no managing 5 dashboards.

Do I need to know how to code or design?

No. Pick a theme, drag your blocks, type your copy, save. The page builder + 35+ themes get you a clean storefront in under 5 minutes. Custom CSS is supported on Pro+ if you want to deep-customize.

How long does setup take?

Most creators have a live storefront in 10–15 minutes: sign up, pick subdomain, drop in 2 hero images, upload your first model, paste your Stripe keys. Cross-platform connections take an extra minute each (OAuth flow with each marketplace).

Can I use my own domain?

Yes, on Pro and Studio plans. Point a CNAME at our servers, hit save, we provision free SSL. Free + Starter plans use a subdomain on shop.3dshawn.com.

Selling & payments

How do payouts work?

Stripe Connect Express. You're the merchant of record. Buyers' money goes straight to your Stripe balance and Stripe pays out to your bank daily (default) or on your chosen schedule. We never touch your money.

What countries are supported?

Anywhere Stripe Connect Express is available — 45+ countries including US, Canada, UK, EU, Australia, NZ, Singapore, Japan, and more. Full Stripe country list.

Do you handle sales tax / VAT?

Stripe Tax integration is on for all paid plans — it auto-computes US sales tax, EU/UK VAT, GST etc. at checkout. You still file returns; we collect the right amount.

What about chargebacks and disputes?

Disputes flow through Stripe like any other Stripe Connect business. We surface dispute alerts in your Admin Console and you respond via the Stripe dashboard with full evidence support.

Can I sell physical printed models too?

Yes. Every model can be listed as digital file, physical print, or both. We surface inventory, shipping weight + dimensions, production time, and color/material variants — and connect to physical-goods marketplaces (Etsy, eBay, Amazon Handmade).

Pricing & billing

Is the free plan really free forever?

Yes. No credit card, no trial expiry. You get a hosted storefront, 5 active listings, and Stripe checkout. Upgrade when (or if) you outgrow it.

What's the platform fee on each sale?

Free = 10%. Starter = 5%. Pro = 2%. Studio = 0%. (Stripe's standard 2.9% + 30¢ applies on every plan — that goes to Stripe, not us.)

Refund policy?

We issue refunds as account credit applied automatically to your next invoice. Cleaner books, faster than a card refund (which takes 5-10 business days to settle). If you cancel entirely with unused credit, we work out a card refund case-by-case.

Can I switch plans any time?

Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately with proration. Downgrades take effect at the next billing anchor so you keep what you paid for.

Data & trust

Do you own my models or my customer list?

No. You retain full ownership of your models, files, and customer data. You can export everything at any time. If you cancel, you get a 90-day grace period to export before data is purged.

What about pooled-data recommendations — do you share my numbers?

No individual data is ever shared. Pooled recommendations only see anonymized percentile bands across categories (“stores in Miniatures, $5-15 band, see +12% conversion when products have 3+ images”). Opt out from Settings → Features any time.

Where is my data stored?

Your database lives in US-East (Virginia). Files are on Cloudflare R2 with global edge caching. Stripe stores payment data in their own PCI-compliant environment.

What security do you offer?

2FA (TOTP), session-revoke from the Settings page, full audit log of admin actions, role-based access on Studio team accounts, encrypted-at-rest database, TLS 1.3 in transit. SOC 2 Type II audit in progress for 2026.

Support

How fast is support?

Email response: same business day for Pro+, <48 hours for Starter, community-driven for Free. Studio plans get a private Slack channel and a named CSM.

Where's the docs?

Inside the dashboard. Every paid page has a Sample Data View button up top so you can see how it looks with example data, and a Help icon in the topbar links to plain-English how-tos.

Can I migrate from another platform?

Yes. We offer free white-glove migration for Pro+ subscribers — we'll move your listings, hero images, and connect your existing marketplace accounts so you don't relist everything by hand.
